How the Natural forces influencing Human body

Hello My Dear Readers and Patients,

Today we go back to the principle of the life forces.

The Natural forces are the Space,Air,Fire,Water and Earth and these five elements ruled by the Sun and Moon.

We surviving because of their proper balanced state or by maintaining the absolute equilibrium.

When it breaks the equilibrium it reflects in the entire universe leads to the natural calamities like earth quake, flood, depression, tsunami, drought,Heavy rain fall etc.

The modern science is growing faster enough to trace and track them up to a certain extend.

That is why now we can predict the tornado, solar eclipse,Rain etc.

And also we are able to measure it with maximum accuracy.

Even though when we reach so close to the universal forces then we realize that what we found is just a fraction only and we have to travel infinite to the absolute truth.

Our scientists works throughout day and night to define the natural forces, till now we don’t have a final answer.

The human body also influencing by these life forces. What ever actions happening in our body is due to the proper balancing of these energies.

When it breaks the equilibrium it appears as the various illnesses.

In our body each one of them has got its own duties.

The space element allows to hear,Air element gives the feeling of touch and controls the nervous system, the fire digesting the food and controls the circulatory system, water maintains the fluid balance and gives the unctuousness to the body, and the earth element gives the shape and keep up the musculature of the body.

And these are functioning depending on the cold from the Moon or heat from the Sun.

In short, the air,the fire, the water (vatha, pitha and kapha in Sanskrit) plays the major role.

The Air or ‘Vatha’ controls the entire nervous system.

Walking, thinking, excretion, speech, memory and many more activities are happening by the proper functioning of the air or vatha dosha.

When a patient complaints, aches, pains, stiffness, constipation or blockage of urine etc. here we can understand the aggravation of the wind element.

When the vatha dosha aggravates it is affecting any one or more above said functions.

It denotes the severity of illness when it affecting more number of systems.

When the fire or pitha dosha affecting it shows different signs and symptoms on the skin like eczema etc.

When the water or ‘kapaha dosha’ aggravates it presents symptoms like phlegm accumulation, bronchial asthma, obesity etc.

Just like the clouds show the chance for rain,we can read the various illnesses from the presenting pre-monitory signs and symptoms from the body.

The Ancient texts Charaka Samhitha,Sushrutha Samhitha and Ashtanaga hrudayam explained about these about 5000 years back itself.

Thank You So Much for Reading and Sharing my Blogs.

Importance of laxatives in Ayurveda treatment

Hello Readers and My Dear Patients,

Importance of laxatives in Ayurveda treatment;

In most of the Ayurveda prescriptions will have the Laxative medication either in medicated oil, ghee or Powder form.

Ayurveda believes  the principle “prevention is better than cure” and in general all the illnesses is treating with the cleansing therapy.

In Ayurveda cleansing and rejuvenating the system in order to attain the balanced state of the three life forces and maintains the healthy state of mind and body.

The treatment basically classified into two, Pacifying and Cleansing.

After the Cleansing therapy Pacifying medication will be continuing till attain the perfect health.

And also in cases where the illness is not that severe and do not affected the system deeply, here directly going for the Pacifying  medications.

The Cleansing therapy is involving five steps, five fold cleansing therapy called ‘Panchakarma’ therapy.

They are Vomiting (Vamanam),Purgation (Virechanam), Medicated enema (vasthi), Medication through Nostrils (Nasyam) and the blood letting (Rakthamoksham).

The Physician will fix the suitable methods upon the need of the condition of patient.

The Purgation (Virechanam) can be two forms either as the part of cleansing therapy or mild cleansing (mrudhu virechanam).

How the purgative medicine works?

In a diseased stage, the body contaminated in blocked channels all along the body (Srothas).
That is happening in two ways:

1.       When the wind element (Vatha Dosha)aggravates, drying up the lubricating agents in each and every tissues.

2.       When the Earth and Water elements (Kapha Dosha) aggravates there also the blockages occurring due to the fat accumulation excessively.

In both of the above cases,we have to take effort to clear the blockages by various methods.

Purgation with laxative medicines is one among them.

When we take the mild laxatives regularly it digesting and clearing the blocks and taking the impurities to the stomach then draining out.

It promotes the better circulation of body fluids and proper functioning of the nervous system.

And also  the absorption of food and eliminating the waste through sweat ,urine and stools will happen properly.

Then we apply the medication to rejuvenate the system simultaneously, hence we get rid of the illnesses.

Hope you got a brief idea, your comments always will be appreciated .

The difference in the principles of Modern medicine and Ayurveda.

Hello Readers,

The difference in the principles of Modern medicine and Ayurveda.

Ayurveda stands for the prevention and maintenance of the Health as well as to treat the disease condition of a person.

And also there is parallel branches like 'vruksha ayurveda' and 'mruga ayurveda' in order to treat the plants and the animals respectively.

The preventive and maintenance methods of 'ayurveda' coming under the branch called ‘swasthavrutham’ and treating the disease conditions under the ‘athura vrutham’
'Swasthavrutham' explains about when to wake up,how to do the morning ablutions, oil application, exercises, bath, how to behave, how to live in the community amicably and lead a peaceful life.

The diet and lifestyle according to the weather changes, precautions to be taken care during different seasons, how to treat the common ailments due to the influence of the seasonal changes etc.

Ayurveda says prevention is better than cure.

‘Athuravrutham’ explains the properties of the life forces, how it influence our body, different symptoms when it aggravates, decreases and how it will be when balanced.

How to treat the various stages of vitiation of the life forces.

The five fold cleansing methods etc. and also the benefits of cleansing treatment or ‘panchakarma’ therapy.

In ayurveda not treating the disease but treating the body, cleansing, rejuvenating and hence improving the immunity of a person.

It is not the treatment method but a lifestyle.

We have to practice it for life time, should know the dos and don’ts,different body type etc.

In modern medicine we find out the disease and name it.

And treating that particular disease condition with chemically derived combinations which gives fast relief but many cases gives rise to the side effects.

The modern medicine developed a lot in last few decades as it gives quick results.

In this fast moving life schedule many are forced to depend the modern system of medications.

The after effects neglected usually.

In a cardiac emergency or in a accident case such acute conditions the modern medicine can be done a lot.

But people turning to ayurveda for the chronic conditions like Rheumatic problems, skin diseases, asthmatic conditions,Diabetes,Piles,Kidney stones, infertility, acidity, migraine, sinus, allergies, gynecological disorders and many lifestyle problems can be sort out with ayurveda support.

Ayuveda says live harmony with the nature then the disease is no more.

During the ayurveda consultation the physician studies the nature of the body type, dominant life fores, imbalanced states etc from the symptoms.

For analyzing a patient ayurveda using tools like ‘darshana, sparshana and prashana’ means by seeing the patient,by touch and by asking questions to the patient.

Here is a brief about the difference in the views of ayurveda and modern medicine.

Thank you for reading and sharing my blog.

Basic Concepts of "Panchakarma" Therapy.

According to “Ayurveda” the ancient science of life stands for attaining the “moksha” means liberation from the mind and body and fuse together with the eternal soul.

Every living body having the part of eternal soul, that's why the physical and mental growth is happening. In order to attain the liberation, our body and mind should be purified – Indian Philosophy says.
For purifying the the mind and body “ayurveda” suggests the following methods.

The purification treatments classified into two,
1.swasthavrutham (cleansing the body of a healthy person and rejuvenating the system hence maintaining the complete physical and mental health)
2.athuravrutham (treating the diseased state of a person and attaining the complete physical and mental health)

The treatment methods mainly classified into two, brumhanam and lankanam.
Brumhanam means which uplifts the growth rate, rejuvenates and nourishing the body.
Langhanam means which clears the blockages of body channels, promotes the circulation of lymph, blood, nerve functions and gives lightness to the body

The Lankhana chikitsa again subdivided into Cleansing,Pacifying and surgical correction.

The Cleansing treatments again subdivided into external and internal.
The external treatments are snehanam (Uzhichil, pizhichil, dhara etc.),Abyangam,Parishekam,Shirolepanam,Udwarthanam,Swedanam etc.
The internal methods are vamanam, virechanam, vasthi, nasyam, rakthamoksham. They are kown as the “panchakarma” chikitsa. They are Vomiting,Purging, medicated enema,Nasal application and blood letting.

After the five fold purification methods if the impure Dosha remains, then we do the pacifying treatments known as Samana chikitsa.
In some cases if the body not impure much or the Dosha not vitiated much, here we can apply the pacifying treatment alone will be enough.

In short, the treatments divided into two – cleansing and pacifying.
For the cleansing treatment we applying the five fold purification methods called “panchakarma therapy”.
They are as follows;
1.vamanam (medically induced vomiting)
2.Virechanam (medically induced Purging)
3.Vasthi (medicated enema)
4.Nasyam (Medicinal application through nostrils)
5. Rakthamoksham (draining out the impure blood)

And for the Pacifying treatment methods are fasting, diet adjustment, lifestyle adjustments, exercises, expose to wind, expose to sun light. Herbal medications and external oil treatments depending upon the conditions and severity of the illnesses.

Thank you for reading and sharing my blogs.

The Basic Concepts of "Ayurveda" the science of Life.

Hello Readers,

Ayurveda The Ancient Science of Life believes and proves everything in this universe made of the five elements called Space,Air,Fire,Water and Earth that is Akasha, vayu, agni, jalam and bhoomi.

In the human body these five elements comprised into three life forces called vatha, pitha and kapha.
Kapha Dosha is made of Earth and water element.
Pitha Dosha is made of Fire element.
Vatha Dosha is made of Air and Space element.

Then the next is seven major constituents of Body called “saptha Dhathus”
They are as follows – Rasa,Raktha,Mamsa,Meda,Asthi,Majja and Sukra.

And the next is the waste materials which is eliminating out from the body after digestion of food and turning into seven body constituents one after another. And finally the waste throwing out asSweda(sweat),Moothra(urine),Pureesha(stools).

So we can say these are the major part of our body, that is Three Doshas,Seven Dhathus and Three Malas.

The above said five elements are the basic elements in the universe as everything is made out of these but in different proportion.

The Three Doshas in the human body also varies the person to person it can be in seven forms according to the text “ashtanga hrudayam” they are as follows;
Vatha type
Pitha type
Kapha Type,
Vatha -Pitha type
Vatha- kapha type,
Pitha -Kapha type
And
Vatha- Pitha- Kapha type.

according to their dosha constitution level they change in size, shape, complexion, voice,Luck, behavior, attitude, fear of God, Likes and Dislikes, Diseases prone to,etc..
The above said nature we can access by seeing, touching, from the words, voice etc..

The Three “malas” that is the waste materials which eliminating out after the food assimilation. In a healthy person these three has also have to work properly. It shows the perfect health.

They are – Sweat ,Urine, and stools. (Sweda, moothra andPureesha)

Thank you for reading and we will be in touch for further discussion.

All Human Body Type are One and The Same? - "NO"

Hi Readers,

Do You Know, according to modern science the human body may classify as male, female, child and old aged. Its depends on the age and sex.

Ancient Text "Ashtang Hrudaya" by Vagbhata Acharya classifies the human body upon the domination of the five elements in the body as follows.

Vatha Prakruthi;  That is the wind element dominating body type.

Pitha Prakruthi;   Fire element dominating body type

Kapha Prakruthi;  Water element dominating body type

Vatha - Pitha Prakruthi;  Wind and Fire Dominating type

Vatha - Kapha Prakruthi; Wind and Water element dominating body type

Pitha - Kapha - prakuthi  Fire and Water dominating body type

and

Vatha - Pitha - Kapha prakruthi;
and finally all of the three elements balanced type.

And all the individual will deffer each other upon the ruling element power which influence their  complexion, height, weight, gate, nature, voice, thinking, digestion, attitudes, luck, believe on God,way of approach, prosperity, living status and standards, diseases prone to etc. from birth to death.

So an ayurvedic physician diagnosing the patient with the above said characters and symptoms of the diseases. He need a through knowledge in the science of different body constitution which explained very well in the basic texts of Ayurveda. An expert can add on and confirm the body type and nature of illness by the pulse reading too.

To treat the disease condition he has to have the deep knowledge about the plants which are also made of these five elements.  And he fixing the concoctions made of a set of herbs which can balance the elevated element in the Body. Hence resulting the cure of the disease.

Read and Share. Thank You.
