Gunam: Laghu, Rooksham, Theekshnam, Saram
Veeryam: Ushnam

Used:
The Bark, Root, Fruit, Flowers, Leaves, Seeds and
Gum.
Uses:
1. Leaves and Flowers can
be used in curries.
It contains sulphur so useful in preventing
Rheumatism;
used as poultice for neuralgia of
face and can be applied on knee joints with
pain
and swelling. (Horse radish in Europe is said to
be a perfect substitute)
2. Root paste alone can be
applied as poultice in
knee joint pain.
3. Dried seed powder can
be used as snuff in head
ache and
fascial palsy.
4. In Joint pain and
swelling; leaf paste with salt
can be applied as poultice.
5. The root decoction can
be used in urinary stone.
The leaf juice mixed
with Honey is useful in hyper
tension.
6. The root skin decoction
25ml each thrice daily
can be taken in Hernia.
